TERMS OF SERVICE 

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

 

SHIPPING  


We offer flat rate shipping of $10 for orders less than $100 and FREE SHIPPING for orders greater than $100.  Our products are warehoused and shipped from the West Coast via Fedex Ground.  All orders are processed and shipped same same day with a cut off time of 12pm PST.  Approximate shipping times are as follows:  West Coast 2 - 3 days, MidWest 2 - 4 days, South 2 - 5 days, East Coast 3 - 5 days.  Once your order is processed and shipped you will receive a confirmation email with tracking details.  If you need your order expedited, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

For international shipments to Canada we charge a flat rate of $10 for orders less than $100 and $20 for orders greater than $100.  The different shipping cost for Canadian orders is to offset the additional expense of shipping across the border.  We ship internationally via USPS.  Expect an additional delay with Canadian orders with an approximate shipping time of 7 - 10 days.  

 

REFUND POLICY

Returns are accepted, at your cost, within 30 days of purchase for any goods that remain unopened and in new condition for a full refund, less the original shipping cost. In the case of a defect, please return any item to us together with a copy of your proof of purchase. These items will be repaired or replaced free of charge and returned to you. 

 

WARRANTY

Grit scooters are designed for freestyle scootering.

Scootering is an extreme sport and riders are constantly trying to develop their skill level which is great for the progression of the sport. Unfortunately due to this the products will get damaged due to normal use, crashes or bails from tricks in skate parks and on the street as new and more advanced tricks are learned and practiced.

It is also the reason why we have different scooters offering different specifications for different intended uses be it beginner, intermediate or advanced, these can be seen in our catalogue.

At Grit we are proud of our products and  provide a warranty against manufacturer’s defects for up to 90 days from the point of purchase and for the original owner only.

It does not cover wheel or headset bearings, chips, scratches, chunking, flat spots, bending, snapping, cracking or damage of parts that are a result of any normal use.

In the event of a warranty request we ask that you contact the retailer that you initially bought the product from with details of the defect. We will then work with the retailer to provide you the best solution possible, providing replacement parts if necessary – we will not offer any cash refunds.  To qualify under warranty, they must be the original owner, provide proof of purchase (email receipt is fine) and provide a photo of the damaged part and an image of your complete scooter.  In addition to this the product must have been maintained properly and not have been modified in anyway.

The act of scootering is an extreme sport and puts the user in danger of serious injury, we recommend that you use the correct protection and keep your scooter well maintained by a suitably qualified technician.

We do stand behind our products and recognize the aggressive nature of the sport and that failure can occur regardless of whether it is through manufacturers defect or through normal use, abuse, misuse or even as a result of a crash. For situations such as these we offer a half price crash replacement for items less than a year old. To qualify for a crash replacement you must be the original owner and hold the original proof of purchase. In the event of a crash replacement request please email info@gritscooterusa.com with your original proof of purchase, images of both the damaged part, your complete scooter and an explanation of why you need a replacement. Crash replacements do not cover chips, scratches, chunking, flat spots or damage of parts that are a result of any normal use.
